HELP GRAND BAHAMA ISLAND AFTER HURRICANE DORIAN!

We are all familiar with the red tape and admin fees associated with non-profit organizations during horrific devastation.

This non-profit (a 501(c)(3) charitable organization) out of NC is collecting donations for non-perishable goods that will be given directly to the Bahamians unable to leave Grand Bahama after Hurricane Dorian’s wrath.  Much of the assistance was directed to Abaco, another island, but Dorian sat over Freeport for 30 hours, causing massive flooding, loss of homes and even sadder, loss of life. Please see the GoFundMe link below, where real videos from those on the island sent via What’sApp and up to date information.

On Friday, 13Sep2019 – a team will go down to Ft. Lauderdale to fill up a shipping bin with non-perishable foods listed in the GoFundMe Campaign and ship to Freeport for distribution. Over $5000 worth of goods have been purchased from local Sam’s Club and ready for pick up. Things such as fruits, vegetables and more healthy options will be packaged once we arrive in Florida on Saturday morning.

We attempted to do this last week, but only Bahamians were allowed on the island and understandably so, as much of the water still had not receded. Therefore, we just helped those that were able to leave the island, as much as we could when they came off the boat and currently hosting families in need.
